Pilates is a system of functional movement that is entirely adaptable to the needs of each individual, making it suitable for all ages, genders, and fitness levels. Pilates exercises teach awareness of body alignment and how to strengthen the deep postural muscles that support the spine—both are important to help alleviate and prevent musculoskeletal pain. The Pilates Method, developed by boxer, gymnast, and movement innovator Joseph Pilates, teaches coordinated, balanced, fluid, pain-free, graceful movement by improving body alignment, posture, strength, flexibility, endurance, and mental focus. Our studio is noted for its experience working with all types of clients, from elite athletes to those recovering from injuries to the chronically ill. In addition to expert Pilates instruction, our certified trainers have specialties ranging from the training of athletes and dancers to post-acute rehabilitation. Cancellation Policy There is no charge for appointments canceled at least 24 hours in advance. In order to be fair to others who need appointments, we charge the full fee for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, or for no shows.
